Sydney, Australia 69 contributions 55 helpful votes. Crowd of ,? No problem! What an impressive facility. The Japanese Derby is a must-see event for true horse racing fans.
Despite a crowd of just under , we were able to easily move around and place bets and get food and drink. We were spoiled by having a panoramic view from reserved seats on the 6th floor of the grandstand that a local contact had organised.
It was no problem to go down to the ground floor to mingle with the crowd to see the parade. As is typical for Japan, the crowd was well behaved and respectful of both the horses and fellow visitors.
I'll never forget the roar of the crowd before, during and immediately after the Derby. Such passionate racing fans!
